SCS/SB 496 - This act removes the Corrections Officer Certification Commission's ability to: • Cause a job task analysis to be made of jobs of jailers and private jail custody staff; • Make recommendations to the Department of Corrections, the legislature, or the Governor concerning the qualifications, training, testing, and certification of such individuals; or • Recommend qualifications and training standards for such individuals. This act is similar to certain provisions of CCS/SS/SCS/HCS/HB 353 (2005). SUSAN HENDERSON
