SB 508 - This act pertains to the detachment of territory for water supply districts. The act modifies the circumstances where territory located in a district can detach; with this act, such a detachment can occur for territory that the district has not made service available. The act changes the financial language to make it consistent with the federal statute. New language has been added to require any political subdivision or private entity to first petition the court for the territory in question to be detached before any infrastructure may be built.
