SB 1358 - This act prohibits the sale of motorcycles or all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) or parts to consumers in this state, except through a franchise. The act prohibits manufacturers, importers, and distributors, as defined in the act, from establishing new line-makes of vehicle unless the vehicles are offered only to authorized dealers of the previous line-make. The act further enacts provisions regarding methods of vehicle allocation between dealers, installation of electric vehicle fast-charging stations, facility improvements as a condition of relocating a franchise or transferring ownership, availability of rebates and incentives, coercion in the offering of products and services to consumers, and modification of franchisee compensation for vehicle sales.
