SB 461 - Currently, Section 217.705, RSMo, requires probation and parole officers to keep record of their work, make reports, and perform duties required by the Board of Probation and Parole. In addition to these duties, this act provides that in the event a parolee is transferred to another probation and parole officer, the written record of the former officer shall be given to the new officer. Currently, Sections 565.081, 565.082, 565.083, RSMo, criminalize assault of a law enforcement officer or emergency personnel in the first, second, and third degree respectively. This act adds probation and parole officers to these sections. This act is similar to certain provisions of CCS/SS/SCS/HCS/HB 353 (2005). SUSAN HENDERSON
