SB 483 - This act pertains to environmental non-compliance The act allows for the Department of Natural Resources to notify an individual who has allegedly violated can environmental regulation or permit issued by the department, before taking legal action to remedy that violation. The act also allows the individual to respond to the notification, request a meeting with the department and work with the department to fix any issues of non-compliance. The procedural mechanism by which this process is run is laid out in the act, as well as strategies for individuals who do not comply with the provisions of the act. MEGAN WORD
