CURRENT BILL SUMMARY
SB 487 - Currently, if one-half of the voters of a town or village sign a petition for disincorporation the county governing body must order an election on whether or not to disincorporate the town or village. Under this act, ten percent of the voters must sign the petition for the county to order such an election.
