SB 1097 - This act allows the St. Louis Board of Police Commissioners to delegate portions of its jurisdiction to other persons, including hearing officers. At the discretion of the board, a hearing officer may preside over disciplinary matters, prepare reports to the board or the police chief, and make recommendations to the board or police chief as to the allegations made during a disciplinary matter and the appropriateness of the recommended discipline. The St. Louis Board of Police Commissioners shall retain authority to render a final decision after a review of the evidence and reports of the hearing officer. SUSAN HENDERSON MOORE
