CURRENT BILL SUMMARY
SCS/SBs 88 & 82 – Current law provides that the boards of governors of certain state institutions of higher education may convey or transfer the title to certain real property, except in fee simple, without authorization from the General Assembly until August 28, 2011. This act removes this expiration date. In addition, any conveyance or transfer must be done at fair market value.
This act also updates the name of the University of Central Missouri to reflect the name change authorized by its board of governors.
This act is similar to HB 137 (2011), SB 778 (2010) and HB 1494 (2010).
