HB 999 -- Commercial Drivers' Licenses

Co-Sponsors: Ladd Stokan, O'Connor

This bill repeals the provision that allows the Director of
Revenue to issue a commercial driver's license without a Social
Security number to a person who is a member of a specified
religious denomination which prohibits the use of identification
numbers by members as being contrary to its religious tenets.

The bill allows the director to issue a commercial driver's
license without a Social Security number to an applicant who
submits a certified statement that he or she objects to the
display of the Social Security number on the license.
