INTRODUCED

HB 960 -- Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility

Sponsor:  Patek

This bill requires that when a motor vehicle owner maintains a
motor vehicle liability policy as required by law the insurance
carrier issuing the policy may not cancel or terminate the
policy until at least 10 days after a notice of cancellation or
termination is filed with the Director of Revenue.

Notification to the Director of Revenue of a cancellation or
termination will also be cause for suspension of a license.
