HB 957 -- Exceptions to the Eligibility of Limited Driving
Privileges

Sponsor: Patek

This bill includes in the category of individuals ineligible to
receive limited driving privileges those who at the time of
application have previously received limited driving privileges
within the last 5 years, in addition to those already
ineligible, except for under certain circumstances. The bill
allows limited driving privileges specifically for drivers who
cannot obtain a new license for a period of 5 years because of 2
convictions of driving while intoxicated. Upon serving 2 years
of the revocation and a showing of good conduct, provided that
the person is not otherwise ineligible for limited driving
privileges and that the person has not been convicted of
involuntary manslaughter while operating a motor vehicle in an
intoxicated condition, the driver is eligible for limited
driving privileges.
