INTRODUCED

HB 948 -- Fraud on Driver's License and Driver's Examinations

Sponsor:  Farnen

This bill allows the Director of Revenue to deny the application
for a license examination for a period of 90 days to any person
who attempts to practice any fraud or deception in the driver's
license written, skills, or vision examination.

This bill also allows the Department of Revenue to cancel, for
one year, a nondriver's license or an original, renewal, or
duplicate driver's license, and the driving privilege of any
person who has been found to have submitted an application for a
driver's examination, a nondriver's license or an original,
renewal, or duplicate driver's license by fraudulent or
deceptive means.  The cancellation will become effective 13 days
after the date the cancellation notice is mailed to a person.

The bill contains language pertaining to the notification of
cancellation, appeals, and the promulgation of rules.
