HB 940 -- Child Abuse

Sponsor:  Dougherty

This bill establishes and defines the crime of failure to act in
preventing child abuse.  A person commits this crime if the
person knowingly or with reckless disregard permits child abuse
by any adult living in the child's household when the person is
capable of taking action to prevent the abuse.  This crime is a
class A misdemeanor.
