HB 936 -- Credit Reporting Agencies

Sponsor:  Levin

This bill requires an entity making a derogatory report to a
credit reporting agency on a Missouri resident to notify the
resident of the contents of the report.  The resident has 30
days from the postmark date to remedy or correct the information
in the report.  If the resident has not satisfactorily remedied
the information by the 31st day, the entity is permitted to send
the report.

Violation of these provisions is a class A misdemeanor and
subjects the violator to civil action.
