HB 909 -- Medical Benefits for Certain Retirees

Sponsor: Merideth

Currently, retirees and their surviving spouses belonging to the
Missouri state employees' retirement system, the transportation
and highway patrol system, the judges' system, and the public
school retirement system receive an amount contributed towards
medical benefit coverage as appropriated. This bill specifies
that the benefit will be 5% of the amount needed to pay for the
basic insurance plan for active employees for those with 11
years of service, rising to 100% at 30 years of service.
