HB 897 -- Radar Detectors

Sponsor: Shelton

This bill prohibits the possession, use, or sale of radar
detectors. The possession or selling of radar detectors is a
class A misdemeanor. The operation of the radar detector need
not be proven; its mere presence, in operable condition, in a
vehicle is prima facie evidence of the crime of possession. Law
enforcement personnel are exempt from these provisions.
