This bill eliminates duplicate language that requires a policy
and procedure manual to be provided to all deputies, assistants,
and employees of sheriff's departments in first class counties
not having a charter form of government.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the bill is necessary to
rectify a double reference to the statutory requirement that a
policy and procedure manual be provided to sheriffs' deputies,
assistants, and employees.  The other reference to the
requirement will remain in effect.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Crump; Missouri
Deputy Sheriffs' Association; and Missouri Sheriffs' Association.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
