This bill allows voters in a municipality or county which is
served by more than one ambulance district to choose at any
general or municipal election only one district for which they
will receive service and be taxed.  All other districts must end
service and taxation of the municipality or county on the first
day of January in the year following the vote.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

This bill allows voters in a municipality or county which is

general or municipal election only one district for which they
will receive service and be taxed.  All other districts must end
service and taxation of the municipality or county on the first
day of January in the year following the vote.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this bill will stop double
taxation for ambulance service.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
