HB 816 -- Insurance Sold by Banks

Sponsor:  Abel

This bill allows banks, savings and loans, and other lending
institutions to sell insurance, subject to the authority of the
Department of Insurance.  The bill also specifies that no
lending institution can require a customer to buy insurance from
the lender to receive other banking products or services.
