HB 807 -- Licensing of Motor Vehicles

This bill prohibits the Director of Revenue from registering any
vehicle where the owner is subject to city personal property
tax, unless the license application is accompanied by a tax
receipt or statement certified by the city collector showing
that city tangible personal property taxes for the preceding
year were paid or that no taxes were due or, if the applicant is
not a resident of this state and is serving in the armed forces,
the application is accompanied by a leave and earnings statement
from the person verifying his or her status.
