COMMITTEE

HB 800 -- CONVEYANCES IN ROUTE 66 AND BABLER STATE PARKS

SPONSOR: Linton

COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee
on State Parks, Natural Resources, and Mining by a vote of 15 to
0.

This bill allows the Department of Natural Resources to convey
an easement in Babler State Park for access to adjacent private
property and an easement in Route 66 State Park for a gas
pipeline.

FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS: Supporters say that the easement in Babler State
Park has been used for many years but apparently was never
recorded. The easement in Route 66 State park allows reasonable
use of land along Interstate 44 for a gas pipeline.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Linton; Department
of Natural Resources; and Laclede Gas Company.

OPPONENTS: There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
