stored.  Officials using an electronic process for the creation
and storage of records are required to do so in a manner
guaranteeing the proper retention and integrity of the records
following standards established by the State Records Commission
and local records boards.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this bill, recognizing changes
in technology, authorizes records of permanent value to be
recorded and saved electronically and provides for guidelines to
be established.

Testifying for the bill were Representative O'Toole; and
Missouri State Archives.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
