HB 744 -- Noncertificated School Employees

Sponsor: Shelton

This bill requires urban and seven-member school districts to
create appointment and promotion procedures for noncertificated
employees. School boards must adopt rules and regulations
governing appointment of employees, who are to be appointed by
examination and promoted by length and character of service. A
probationary period is required for new employees.
Noncertificated employees are to receive the same due process
for removal as that afforded to certificated personnel.
