HB 735 -- Utility Bills

Co-Sponsors:  Ford, Thompson (72)

This bill prohibits entities, other than utilities, that collect
utility bill payments from collecting a service charge or fee
for the service.  Such entities are authorized to recoup the
costs of collecting the bills from the appropriate utility.  The
Public Service Commission is required to adopt relevant
procedures and forms and is authorized to promulgate rules to
enforce the provisions of the bill.
