COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass" by the Committee on Local
Government and Related Matters by a vote of 17 to 0.

This bill allows Sunday sales of liquor by the drink without a
special permit on February 14th.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this bill will allow
individuals to go to a restaurant on Valentine's Day and have a
drink with their meal.  Valentine's Day only falls on Sunday
every 7 years.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Gambaro.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
