This bill makes it a class D felony to attempt to steal any
amount of anhydrous ammonia.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that attempted theft of anhydrous
ammonia needs to be punished to protect the public and law
enforcement officials.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Elliott; Jasper
County Sheriff's Department; and Missouri Agricultural
Industries Council.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
