HB 682 -- Motor Vehicle Financial Responsibility

Sponsor:  Ward

This bill requires automobile insurance carriers, 15 days after
a total cancellation, nonrenewal, or termination of a liability
policy, to file notice of the cancellation, nonrenewal, or
termination with the Director of Revenue.  Notification of
cancellation or termination of a policy will also be cause for
the Director of Revenue, after serving proper notice, to suspend
the license or registration of an owner who fails to meet the
requirements for financial responsibility.
