HB 606 -- Tampering With Public Records

Sponsor:  Hosmer

This bill raises the penalty for tampering with public records
from a class A misdemeanor to a class D felony.  The bill also
expands the crime of tampering with public records to include a
civil officer who knowingly fails to deliver public records to a
successor and to include a private person who knowingly fails to
deliver public records of a public office to the officeholder.
