HB 595 -- Court Costs for Jails

Sponsor:  Parker

This bill authorizes counties and municipalities to collect a
surcharge of $5.00 for each criminal case in which the court
costs are not paid by the state.  The funds received from the
surcharge must be used for jails or uncovered medical expenses
of inmates.
