HB 594 -- Teacher Recruitment and Retention

Sponsor:  Shelton

This bill removes the $500 loss limit on gambling boats in St.
Louis and St. Louis County and places moneys collected from
gaming proceeds that exceed the $500 loss limit in a teacher
recruitment and retention fund to be used for attracting and
retaining teachers in areas with a teacher shortage and to
provide bonuses for teachers whose students have high
achievement levels.
