HB 511 -- Assisted Suicide

Sponsor:  Froelker

This bill prohibits the General Assembly from appropriating
funds to assist in causing a suicide, euthanasia, or mercy
killing of any individual.

Nothing in this bill is to be construed to create any limitation
relating to withholding medical treatment, withholding nutrition
or hydration, abortion, or use of services to alleviate pain or
discomfort, even at the risk of death, as long as such service
is not furnished to cause or assist death.
