HB 491 -- Prosecuting and Circuit Attorneys' Retirement System

Sponsor: Clayton

This bill gives credit for prior service as a prosecuting or
circuit attorney to anyone who became a member of the
prosecuting and circuit attorneys' retirement system on or after
August 28, 1989. As currently written, the provision grants
such credit only to those who became members of the system on
the effective date of the establishment of the system. The
remainder of this bill substitutes the date "August 28, 1989"
for the phrase "the establishment of the system."
