HB 469 -- Parental Liability for Minors

Co-Sponsors: Koller, Parker

This bill reduces from 18 to 17 years the age at which a minor
is considered emancipated for purposes of holding that minor's
parents or guardian liable for certain of the minor's acts.
Specifically, the bill applies to the minor's acts of vandalism
and defacement upon state facilities and private property, to
the minor's acts causing personal injury to another, and to the
minor's acts of stealing.
