COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass" by the Committee on
Governmental Organization and Review by a vote of 10 to 0.

This bill increases the maximum balance allowable in the Budget
Stabilization Fund from 5% to 10% of receipts to the general
revenue fund.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that the state is experiencing a
period of economic wealth and should put extra funds back for
times when there may be a disaster or other problems.

Testifying for the bill was Representative Pouche.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
