HB 411 -- Death Certificates

Sponsor: Parker

Under current law, a death certificate must be filed by a
funeral director or a person acting as the funeral director.
This bill repeals the authority of anyone other than a funeral
director to file a death certificate.

The bill also repeals the requirement that a person acting as a
funeral director be notified by the medical examiner when cause
of death cannot be determined within 72 hours after death.
