HB 392 -- Sales Tax on Textbooks Sponsor: Shields Under current law, only textbooks sold at bookstores located on the premises of postsecondary institutions of higher learning are exempt from state sales and use tax. This bill allows all textbooks to be exempt regardless of where the textbook is sold.
