HB 392 -- Sales Tax on Textbooks

Sponsor: Shields

Under current law, only textbooks sold at bookstores located on
the premises of postsecondary institutions of higher learning
are exempt from state sales and use tax. This bill allows all
textbooks to be exempt regardless of where the textbook is sold.
