HB 312 -- Sales Taxes and Fees for Motor Vehicle Registrations,
Driver's Licenses, and Titles

Sponsor:  Abel

This bill reduces the state sales and use tax on the purchase,
rental, or lease of motor vehicles from 4% to 1% and increases
the fees charged for all motor vehicle and trailer
registrations, transfer of ownerships, driveaway licenses,
special personalized license plates, certificates of ownership,
instruction permits, commercial driver's licenses, driver's
licenses, and duplicate licenses by $12.50 per transaction.
