HB 263 -- St. Louis Police Retirement

Sponsor: Auer

For persons already receiving disability benefits from the St.
Louis police retirement system, the disability allowance may be
increased by up to 3% a year. Each increase will be compared to
the increase in the consumer price index (CPI); if the CPI
increase exceeds the approved benefit increase for any year, the
excess cumulates, so that in subsequent years, the increase may
be up to 3%, not to exceed a total of 30%. Benefits may be
decreased if the index decreases, but may not go below the
member's initial benefit.
