HB 226 -- Forfeiture of Retirement Benefits

Co-Sponsors:  Reinhart, Ridgeway, Secrest

This bill requires forfeiture of pension benefits from their
tenure in office by persons who hold or have retired from
elective office who are convicted of or plead guilty to a crime
relating to the duties of office.  The bill applies only to the
employer contribution portion of the retirement benefit, and it
does not require repayment of benefits received before the
conviction or guilty plea.
