FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds.
HB 216 -- ON-SITE SEWAGE DISPOSAL SPONSOR: Parker COMMITTEE ACTION: Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on Environment and Energy by a vote of 15 to 0. This bill exempts owners of residential lots of at least 10 acres from state requirements for on-site sewage disposal systems if there is no more than one single-family residence per 10 acres and at least 360 feet between on-site sewage disposal systems on the lot. FISCAL NOTE: No impact on state funds. PROPONENTS: Supporters say that this exemption does not compromise current environmental and health standards and is helpful to large landowners with more than one dwelling within the same lot.
