HB 213 -- School Board Elections

Sponsor: Parker

This bill exempts school board elections from being held when
the number of candidates is equal to the number of positions to
be filled. The bill also sets the deadline for a declaration of
intent for write-in candidates for school board 5 business days
after the close of regular filing when the number of candidates
is equal to or less than the number of positions to be filled.
If the total of write-in declarations and candidates exceeds the
number of open positions, the school board election will be held.
