This bill allows a court in any action for dissolution of
marriage involving minor children to order counseling for the
children, and to assess and apportion the cost between the
parties.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that this bill is necessary to
resolve the confusion as to whether a court presiding over a
dissolution proceeding has the authority to order counseling for
minor children of the divorcing parties.

Testifying for the bill were Representative Ridgeway; and
Missouri Bar.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
