HB 158 -- State Aid for School Districts

Sponsors: Marble

Current law requires that school districts must have an
operating levy of no less than $2.75 after adjustments and
reductions in order to qualify for school aid. This bill adds
the proviso that the adjusted levy will be based on assessed
valuations of the 1994 tax year and must provide funding at a
level equivalent to a $2.75 levy.
