HB 156 -- Liquor Control

Co-Sponsors: Hartzler (124), Sallee, Kasten

This bill requires resorts licensed to sell liquor by the drink
to comply with city ordinances, in addition to state laws and
regulations, in the same manner as establishments that sell
liquor by the drink must comply with those ordinances.

The bill also prohibits the Supervisor of Liquor Control from
issuing a license to any establishment within 300 feet of any
school, church, or other building regularly used as a place of
worship. Under current law no license may be issued to an
establishment within 100 feet of a school or church unless the
applicant receives written consent for such license from the
school or church.

This bill contains an emergency clause and will be effective on
the later of July 1, 1999, or its date of approval by the
Governor.
