HB 112 -- Recording Communications

Sponsor: Graham (24)

This bill prohibits the recording of wire or oral conversations
without the consent of each party involved in the
communication. Under current law, it is lawful for a person to
intercept a wire or oral communication where the person is a
party to the communication or where one of the parties has given
prior consent to the interception of the communication.

The bill also changes the classification of illegal wiretapping
from a class D felony to a class B misdemeanor.
