HB 1013 -- Property and Casualty Guaranty Association

Sponsor: Harlan

This bill changes how much money the Property and Casualty
Guaranty Association can award a claimant for bodily injury,
sickness, or disease. Currently, claimants previously covered
by a now insolvent insurer can receive awards for their
reasonable expenses for necessary health services. The bill
replaces this limit with awards not to exceed the face amounts
or limits of the policy, or a maximum of $300,000.
