FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials from the Department of Economic Development - Public Service Commission (PSC) and the Department of Economic Development - Office of Public Counsel (OPC) assume the proposed legislation would have no fiscal impact on their agencies.

Officials from the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) assume the legislation would only apply to retail distributors. Based on this assumption, the DNR would not be fiscally impacted.

FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
No direct fiscal impact to small businesses would be expected as a result of this proposal.

DESCRIPTION

The proposed legislation would change the word "owns" to "maintains" with regard to storage tanks, thereby allowing delivery of LP gas by an out-of-state company if it maintains and operates one or more storage tanks in Missouri with a combined capacity of at least 18,000 gallons.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.

This proposal would not affect Total State Revenues.
