FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business

DESCRIPTION

This proposal would modify the qualifications for adjutant general and assistant adjutant general of the State. Currently such qualifications require a minimum number of years military service (10 years for adjutant general and 4 years for assistant). Under this proposal, both the adjutant general and assistant adjutant general must be a federally recognized: Army or Air National Guard major general of the line; Brigadier general of the line; or qualified to be appointed to brigadier general of the line. The adjutant or assistant adjutant general is removed from office when federal recognition terminates.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
