FISCAL ANALYSIS

ASSUMPTION

Officials from the Department of Economic Development (DED)-Professional Registration (DPR) assume the proposed legislation would create a cost savings to the State Board of Cosmetoogy fund, since the personal service appropriation for per diem would no longer be needed. Board members would receive compensation for their services in accordance with the federal reimbursement rate (Chapter 301 of the Federal Travel Regulations). This federal per diem rate is set for reimbursement of lodging, meals and incidentals only. Therefore, board members would receive per diem reimbursement out of the existing expense and equipment appropriation as it will sufficiently fund this proposal.

Officials from the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations (DOL) assume the proposed legislation would have no fiscal impact on its agency.
