FISCAL IMPACT - Small Business
Small businesses operating as continuing care retirement centers may be fiscally impacted by tis proposal, but the amount of impact is not known.


DESCRIPTION

This proposal states that a certificate of need shall not be required for any facility operating as a continuing care retirement community (CCRC). A CCRC is defined as a facility that provides a continuum of services ranging from independent housing to long-term care through an agreement with the older person that may be effective for the life of the older person.

This legislation is not federally mandated, would not duplicate any other program and would not require additional capital improvements or rental space.
